Record information in different languages
Record information in several languages to show translated content without duplicating artworks, artists, exhibitions or other records.
ITGallery lets you work with different languages within the same account. This is used to store translations of certain fields and reuse them later in documents, showrooms, your website or other content visible to clients.
The main language of the account is used as the base language. If you add information in other languages, the system can show the relevant version when it is available.
Add information in another language

- Go to the record you want to edit, for example an artwork, an artist or an exhibition.
- Find the language selector available on the record.
- Select the language you want to fill in.
- Add the translated information in the relevant fields.
- Save your changes.
What happens if a field is not translated
If a field has no information recorded in the selected language, ITGallery can show the information available in the main language of the account.
Tip
Always check the main fields before sharing information in another language, especially techniques and descriptions.
Difference between user language and multilingual information
The user language changes the language of the ITGallery interface.
Information in different languages is used to record translated content within a record.
For example, you can view the interface in English and, at the same time, fill in the description of an artwork in Spanish or French.
