Certificate of authenticity

Generate a PDF certificate of authenticity for your artworks straight from the Artworks module. This function lets you document the piece and prepare a certificate ready to hand to the buyer.

How to generate a certificate of authenticity

  1. Go to Artworks > List.
  2. Select the relevant artwork.
  3. Click Export.
  4. Select Certificate of authenticity.
  5. Complete the settings for the certificate.
  6. Click Generate.

  1. Language: select the language of the certificate.
  2. Format: choose the output format available.
  3. Dimension units: set how the measurements of the artwork are shown.
  4. Measurement tags: select them if they apply. For example: framed.
  5. Editions: mandatory field.
  6. Issue date: the date of the certificate.
  7. Issue to: add the name of the recipient if you want to.
  8. Click Generate

Tip

Remember that the document opens in a new browser tab and is kept for three months in the My documents tab of your user.

Mark the certificate as sent in Sales

If the artwork you generated a certificate for is linked to a sale, you can record that the certificate has already been handed over.

  1. Go to the Sales module.
  2. Find the relevant transaction and tick its check box
  3. In tools, find Certificate sent.
  4. Mark the status once the certificate has been handed over.
