Show artwork descriptions in a showroom

You can show the description of the artworks within a showroom to give extra information about each piece.


The description shown is the same one recorded in the description field of each artwork record.


How to show artwork descriptions in a showroom

  1. Go to the Showrooms module from the main menu.
  2. Click Edit on the showroom you want to change.
  3. Find the See description option in the artwork settings.
  4. Select Yes to turn it on.
  5. Choose how you want to show the description:
    • As text
    • As a link
  6. Save the changes to the showroom.

Ways of showing the description

As text

The description appears directly within the artwork record.

This option shows the content permanently, alongside the rest of the artwork information.


The description is hidden at first and is shown through a “More details” button.

When the user clicks that button:

  • a panel opens over the artwork record
  • the full description is shown

Tip

We recommend using:

  • As text when the descriptions are short or are an important part of how the artwork is presented.
  • As a link when the descriptions are long or you want to keep a cleaner look.
