Difference between a draft sale and a final sale
When you create a sale, you can save it as a draft or record it as a final sale.
A draft sale is for transactions that are not closed yet or that need completing later.

Main differences between a draft and a final sale:
-
Draft sale
The sale is saved, but is not yet recorded as a final sale.
You can use it when the transaction is not closed or when you need to review information before confirming it.
-
Final sale
The sale is recorded as final.
Once a sale is final, it cannot be turned back into a draft.
-
Converting a draft into a final sale
A sale saved as a draft can be turned into a final sale later.
-
Availability of the artworks
Even when a sale is a draft, it affects the status and availability of the linked artworks.
The artworks are marked as unavailable for as long as the sale exists, even if it is not a final sale yet.
Tip
Use a draft if you need to prepare a sale without closing it yet, but remember that the linked artworks stop being available for as long as the sale exists, whatever type you assign to it.
