Manage taxes in a sale

Manage the taxes of a sale by applying a global tax or assigning specific taxes to each line of the sale.

ITGallery lets you apply taxes both at the general level of the sale and individually, per artwork or per concept.

Steps to add taxes

1. Go to the Sales module.
2. Create a new sale or edit an existing one.
3. Add the artworks or concepts you want to include in the sale.
4. Select a global tax if you want to apply the same tax to the total of the sale.
5. Select an individual tax on each line if you need to apply different taxes.
6. Review the final summary of the sale.
7. Save your changes.

Apply a global tax

The global tax applies to the sale as a whole.

You can use it when all the lines of the sale have the same type of tax.

This tax is managed from the Sale details section.

Apply taxes per sale line

You can also apply a different tax to each line of the sale.

A sale line can be:

• An artwork or edition.
• A concept you have added.

This option is useful when the same sale includes items with different taxes.
