Sell in different currencies

To sell an artwork in a particular currency, the artwork must already have a price recorded in that currency on its record.

1. Go to the Sales module.
2. Create a new sale or edit an existing one.
3. Click Add artwork.
4. Search for the artwork you want to add to the sale.
5. Select the currency from the selector in the top right.
6. Choose the price for that currency.
7. Add the artwork to the sale.
8. Repeat the process if you need to add more artworks.
9. Fill in the rest of the details of the sale.
10. Save or record the sale.

How currency works in a sale

ITGallery does not convert prices between currencies automatically.

The system uses the prices you have already recorded on the artwork record. For example, an artwork can have one price recorded in euros and another in dollars.

When you add the artwork to a sale, you can select the currency you want to use. If the artwork has a price recorded in that currency, you can select it and add it to the sale at that amount.

If the artwork has no price recorded in the selected currency, you will not have a price available to add it in that currency.

Can I mix several currencies in the same sale?

No. A sale can only be recorded in one currency.

The first currency you select when adding an artwork determines the currency for the rest of the artworks in that sale.

For example, if you add the first artwork in dollars, the rest of the artworks in that sale must also be added in dollars.
