Sale statuses
The status of a sale shows where the transaction stands and lets you follow it up from the list in the Sales module.
The statuses appear in the sales list and have a colour attached to make them easier to identify.

Statuses available by default:
- Pending payment
- Paid
- Partially paid
- Cancelled
- Returned
- Reservation paid
- Reservation cancelled
- Sold showroom
- Reserved showroom
- No information
By default, when you create a sale it appears as Pending payment.
If you record payments within a sale, the status can update automatically. For example, when you record a partial payment, the sale changes to Partially paid.

- Add or change the statuses you need.
Difference between status and type of sale
The sale status shows how the transaction is progressing - for example whether it is pending payment, partially paid, cancelled or returned.
The type of sale shows whether the sale was saved as a draft or as final when it was created. The type of sale is not one of the statuses you can configure in Sales states.

Tip
If you need to leave a transaction to be completed later, save the sale as a draft when creating it. You can turn it into a final sale afterwards, but a final sale cannot go back to being a draft.
