Set up the settings of an email template

The Settings section lets you define the general style of your email - width, colours and typography - to keep a consistent look across the whole template.

Define the styles before designing the template, to keep every block visually consistent.

Reach the styles

  1. Open the template editor from the Mailing module.
  2. Create a new template.
  3. Or select an existing template and open it for editing with the pencil icon.
  4. Open the Settings section in the left side menu.

Set the email width

  1. Set the Email width to suit your needs.
  2. Use a width of 600 px as a reference; this is recommended for most emails.
  3. Adjust the width if you need a more compact or wider design.

Set the colours

You can define the general colours of the email.

  1. Email background: define the general background colour.
  2. Block background: set the background colour of the content blocks.
  3. Link color: adjust the colour of the links in the email.
  4. Button color: define the colour of the buttons. Select colours using the visual colour picker, RGB values or the hex code.

TIP: use the colour picker to keep your email visually consistent. For example, if you have added an image of an artwork, you can take a colour directly from the image and apply it to buttons, links or backgrounds for a more integrated design.

Set the typography

You can define the general typography of the email for different elements.

  1. Select the Font of the text.
  2. Adjust the Size of the text.
  3. Define the Line height.
  4. Apply the Style of the text.
  5. Define the text colour.

You can set these for: headings, paragraphs and buttons.
