Edit the content of a campaign in Sendy

Edit the content of a campaign in Sendy to prepare the design, text, images and links of your newsletter.

Once the mailing campaign has been created, you can build or change the content of the email before sending it. From the Sendy editor you can work on the text, add images, insert links and adjust the basic styles of the newsletter.

  1. Go to the Mailing module.
  2. Open Campaigns.
  3. Open the campaign you want to edit.
  4. Go to the content editor of the campaign.
  5. Change whatever text, images and links you need.
  6. Review the whole content of the newsletter.
  7. Save your changes before carrying on to the send.

Basic editing options

From the editor you can apply basic adjustments to the content of the campaign, such as:

  1. Changing the colour of the text.
  2. Highlighting text.
  3. Applying bold.
  4. Applying italics.
  5. Striking text through.
  6. Using headings.
  7. Adjusting indents.
  8. Changing the alignment of the content.
  9. Adding images.
  10. Adding links (hyperlinks).

Tip

Always check the links before sending the campaign, especially if you link to PDFs, showrooms, external catalogues or websites.

Insert images

You can add images within the content of the campaign to include artworks, headers, invitations or any other visual element of the newsletter.

Place the cursor at the point in the campaign where you want to insert the image.

Insert an image in a campaign

Insert images into the content of a campaign from the image icon in the editor.

  1. Open the campaign you want to edit.
  2. Place the cursor at the point in the content where you want to insert the image.
  3. Click the image icon in the editor.
  4. In the pop-up window, open the Upload tab.
  5. Click Choose File.
  6. Choose the image you want to insert from your computer.
  7. Click Send it to the Server.
  8. Once the image has uploaded, you return to the Image Info tab.
  9. Adjust the image options if you need to: alignment, width, height, border, horizontal space or vertical space.
  10. If you want to add a link to the image, open the Link tab.
  11. Add the URL you want to attach to the image.
  12. Set the target of the link - that is, how the hyperlink opens for the recipients.
  13. Click OK to insert the image into the campaign.
  14. Save the changes to the campaign.

You can add hyperlinks in the content of the campaign to send subscribers to a web page, such as a showroom.

  1. Select the text you want to add the link to.
  2. Click the link icon in the editor.
  3. Paste in the URL you want to link to.
  4. Confirm the link.
  5. Save the changes to the campaign.

Add files or documents

If you need to include a document in the campaign, you can do it in two ways:

  1. Add the file as an attachment from the Attachments field.
  2. Upload the file to an external platform, such as Dropbox or Google Drive, and include it as a link within the newsletter, following the steps described above.

Tip

We recommend linking to documents rather than attaching them directly, since attachments can increase the chances of the campaign landing in the spam folder.

Use HTML in the campaign

For more advanced design options, you can work with HTML code.

This can be useful if you want to use a template you designed earlier or apply a more customised structure.

Tip

We do not recommend using custom fonts in newsletters, since some email clients only display standard fonts correctly.
