Change the interface language, theme and display preferences

Set the language, the colour theme and some display preferences from My User.

These settings affect only your user. Other users on the same account can have different settings.

Change your user language

You can choose the language of the ITGallery interface before logging in to your account, or from the My User settings.

On the ITGallery login screen there is also a language selector that lets you change the interface language before you log in.

Change the language from My User

  1. Click the user menu.
  2. Go to My User.
  3. Open My User settings.
  4. Find the language field.
  5. Select the language you want to use.
  6. Save your changes.

Difference between user language and information in several languages

The user language changes the language of the ITGallery interface.

Information recorded in different languages is managed from the relevant records, such as artworks, artists or exhibitions, as long as the account has several languages set up.

If you need to record information in several languages, see the article on recording information in different languages.

Tip

Changing your user language does not automatically translate the information recorded in artworks, artists, contacts or other modules. It only changes the language of the interface.

Interface theme

By default, the system currently uses the ITG 2.0 theme, an updated design that improves the experience of using it.

Older themes such as Classic, Light or Dark may also appear in the theme settings. These themes remain available for users who were already used to them, but they do not receive support or specific updates.

For that reason, we recommend using ITG 2.0 as your main theme.

  1. Click the user menu.
  2. Go to My User.
  3. Open My User settings.
  4. Find the Change theme section.
  5. Check which theme is selected.
  6. Keep or select ITG 2.0 as the recommended theme.
  7. Save your changes.

Set your display preferences

From My User you can also adjust some display preferences for your account.

These options can affect how you see certain lists or elements within ITGallery.

  1. Click the user menu.
  2. Go to My User.
  3. Open My User settings.
  4. Review the display options available.
  5. Enable, disable or change the options you need.
  6. Save your changes.

You can also set how many items are shown by default in the different lists in ITGallery.

For example, you can set the number of items visible in lists such as artworks, artists, contacts, showrooms, exhibitions, sales, offers, consignments, loans or purchases.

Tip

Display preferences affect only your user. They do not change how other users see the account.

Set the columns visible in the lists

Among the display options you can configure, My User also lets you choose what information you want to see in some lists.

You can set the visible columns in:

  1. the artworks list;
  2. the contacts list.

This lets you adapt the lists to the way you work and show only the data you need to consult often.

  1. Click the user menu.
  2. Go to My User.
  3. Open My User settings.
  4. Select Artworks list options or Contacts list options.
  5. Tick Yes on the fields you want to show.
  6. Tick No on the fields you want to hide.
  7. Save your changes.

Tip

If you work a lot from the artworks or contacts list, showing only the columns you need can help you find information faster.
